You can see here that existing manufacturers focus on building using their existing supply chains, which is both an advantage and disadvantage.
If they can build with parts they can source easily, it’s an advantage. But also, their production capacity is limited to the availability of components in their supply chains, which means the designs they create are not reproducible elsewhere. Also, their own output is limited to the minimum of their available components, the time it takes to retool their production lines, and the production rate of those production lines once modified. In fast change-over scenarios like this, those are extremely limiting factors.
